Michael Gillis, PLA, ASLA - landscape architect / coop manager / founding member
Michael Gillis, PLA, ASLA, CLARB, is a founding member. He has over 25 years of experience as a landscape architect, project manager, designer, and construction representative for projects of varying scales throughout Maine, New England, and Texas.
Mr. Gillis has a diverse range of experience in such projects as; commercial & residential landscape design, land-use master planning, construction administration, sustainable development, graphic & web media, as well as private consultations. Mike is a Maine licensed Landscape Architect #4293. Mike is Certified in Erosion & Sedimentation Control Practices by the MEDEP.
Leland Burnham - happiness engineer / stone mason wizard / founding member
Leland Burnham is a founding member. He has over 15 years of experience as an artist, landscape foreman, stone mason, and site manager.
With a passion for Stone Art, and a love of natural beauty, Mr. Burnham has a knack for realizing and bringing to life a client's vision through quality craftsmanship and efficiency. Whether plants & sods, soils & aggregate, or hardscape & natural stone; he works to accomplish the project's goals in an artistically, responsible, and Earth-friendly manner. Leland is Certified in Erosion & Sedimentation Control Practices by the MEDEP. Leland is also a very talented musician, who in his free time, plays his guitar with purpose and soul.
Lisa King - landscape gardener / social media editor / moss enthusiast / full member
Lisa King has been working on the island the past 7 years as a landscape gardener. She has experience working on estate gardens, perennial gardens, native plantings, and light commercial projects. Lisa has enjoyed gardening since she was a child and has a deep love for flowers and perennials of all kinds, both cultivated and native.
With a passion for native mosses, she studies them in their natural environment and works to cultivate the beauty of moss to her client's homes. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys being at home in her kitchen where her other passion is cooking with all-natural ingredients.
